Libby Singleton, School Director, began her dancing career at a very young age and has not stopped yet. Libby graduated from Sumter High, attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri with a major in dance, and then went to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She has worked with students in School District 17 productions, School District 2 Gifted and Talented programs and judged several local talent contests. She teaches all age groups, including the Mini I, Mini II and Junior ompanies at Miss Libby's.

Debbie Bowen
has been co-owner of Miss Libby's since 1989. She currently serves on several boards throughout the community and values the support that Sumter gives to Miss Libby's. She enjoys watching the children's progress and couldn't be more proud. She is the wife of Rick Bowen and the doting grandmother of J. Michael Rogerson.

Mary Simmons  joined our staff in the summer of 2002 as director of our Ballet program. She has trained extensively in American and Russian classical ballet techniques. She is formerly the owner of Third Dimension Dance and Arts. Mary was the director of our highly successful "Sumter Arts Showcase" benefitting the Tuomey Foundation. Mary is married to Craig Simmons.

Holly DuBose  choreographer, is well-known in this area for her exceptional preschool work. She can reacheven the tiniest dancers, as well as provide exciting choreography for our older students. Holly specializes in musical theatre, in addition to tap, jazz and ballet. She studied ballet with Robert Ivey of Charleston. She is married to Rob DuBose and they have two children, Caleb and Savannah Grace.

Fran Glaze  joined the staff at Miss Libby's in August, 2001. Fran received her dance training at Calvert-Brodie School of Dance In Columbia and the Emmalyn Davis School of Dance. She is a graduate of Columbia College where she majored in dance for two years. She has entertained as a dancer for the Miss South Carolina and Miss Southern 500 pageants. She has choreographed many routines for local church musicals and high school pageants and plays. Fran is currently the choreographer for the award-winning Sumter High School Show Choir. She is married to Lee Glaze and they have two children, Scott and Sally.

Brandi Sweat joined our staff in the fall of 2002. Brandi was Miss Libby's senior assistant for many years before teaching classes on her own. Brandi travels to New York each summer to study under various master teachers at the Broadway Dance Center. She attends USC-Sumter.

Lisa Stanley  began dancing at a very early age with local companies such as The Florence Ballet and South Carolina Dance Theatre. While attending the College of Charleston she performed in the musicals West Side Story and Cabaret. She was also a company member of the Robert Ivey Ballet of Charleston. She spent her last years of college at Clemson University where she performed with the Clemson Rally Cats. She has taught ballet and jazz at Foothills Dance Conservatory in Seneca, SC. She was a soloist and choreographer of the Nutcracker in the past. Lisa is currently teaching third grade at Wilder Elementary. She is also the advisor for the Wilder Dance Club.

Rebecca Spann joined our staff in the fall of 2003. She is proficient in tap, ballet and jazz. Rebecca is one of our original "Rising Stars." She just graduated with her degree in early childhood education from USC and has been hired to teach at Millwood Elementary School.

Sherri Ross joined our staff in the fall of 2005, after returning from her cruse ship tours. She danced for two years with the cruse line. She was one of our original rising stars. Sherri enjoys her dance classes as well as coaching gymnastics and cheerleading.

Sue Ladson
(Program Director) Sue has over 20 years experience in the sport of Gymnastics. She has coached all levels from Preschool, Boys, Dev. Girls through Elite. Sue is one of 30 national instructors working for U.S.A. Gymnastics. She is a professional member of U.S.A. Gymnastics, TWIN Honoree, Meet director, Skill Evaluator, U.S.A.J.G.C. Coaching Certification, Safety Certified, National Judge, Level 1-4 Judge, Optional Choreographer, 1 of 30 national coaches chosen as an educational aide at the national U.S.A. Gymnastics Coaching Seminar, I.F.P.A. Fitness Instructor specializing in youth fitness, NESTA Pilates instructor and National Pilates Alliance member. Sue feels very blessed to be working with the children and staff at Miss Libby's. Sue is married to Frank Ladson and they have two very active children, Joshua and Julia.

Angie Freeman (Dev. Prog./Head Coach) Angie began her gymnastics career at the tender age of 4 and has continued to be involved in the sport. Angie is a Sumter  native graduating from Sumter High School. Her future plans are to become MELP and PDP coaching certified and pilates certified. She is Kat Certified and choreographer. Angie teaches all levels of gymnastics and continues to be the "glue that holds us all together." She is married to Johnny Freeman and they have one son, Tony.

Tiffany Andrews (Team director/ head coach) Tiffany has participated in gymnastics for 8 years. She was a Level 6 state champion and represented the state of SC in national competitions. Tiffany has 4 years of coaching experience. She is a U.S.A. Gymnastics Professional Member and safety certified. She attended several National Compulsory Clinics for new routines held in 2006 - 2012.

Sherri 'Ross (Class instructor) Sherri is one of Miss Libby's first gymnast. She has been teaching both dance and gymnastics for more than 9 years.

Alison Strange (Class Instructor) currently attends the University of South Carolina in Sumter. She is working toward her degree in Elementary Education and hopes to graduate in 2006.

Charlie Myers (Karate) Charlie is a 2nd degree blackbelt with years of experience teaching Karate. Charlie has a 2-yeardegree in Engineering. We at Miss Libby's are very proud to have him part of our staff.

Corie Harris (Class Instructor) Corie is the newest member of Miss Libby's staff. A great personality and lots of energy make her a great instructor.

Cassie Castleberry (Team Ballet teacher) Teaching gymnastics and dance for over 10 years. Cassie has choreographed numerous competition numbers.
