The Rising Stars of Sumter is a separate, non-profit organization performing within Miss Libby’s School of Dance. We are currently in our 12th season and look forward to another exciting year ahead. Rising Stars are chosen through an audition process conducted by independent judges. The Rising Stars perform around the Sumter community as well as attending competitions and conventions around the southeast.
Our goal is to help our Rising Stars advance to the next level. By preparing for and participating in regional competitions our dancers work hard on polishing technique and learning new and difficult routines. Because we compete at a high level as teams, we strive to teach teamwork and self-discipline; characteristics that serve our “Stars” well throughout their lives.
